The basketball club AMAC SP is one of the four sports clubs that are under the supervision of the company AMAC SP. AMAC SP at the beginning of this season decided to buy the club Talent. Thanks to this decision men basketball came back to Ohrid after a long pause. This decision of AMAC SP came after 15 years of the formation and independence of the Macedonian first league . Finally , Ohrid citizens could watch first league basketball. From the first matchof the club life came back to the sports hall Bilianini Izvori. At the stands for AMAC SP 3000 fans were supporting. This obviously shows how much Ohrid and its citizens needed this revival of basketball and sports in general in the city. AMAC SP basketball club will be remembered for the record number of baskets at one match when the club won with 145 baskets which could be seen at NBA league. For the first time in Macedonia for the AMAC SP matches a show programme is performed for the time of the first half time which Macedonians up till now could only see on television. This was the first step to bring closer sport and show business.





       The club has a rich history and continues the tradition of sailing as an Olympic sport. Sailing dates to 1937 when the first club was founded under the name Stremec (one of the winds which are characteristic for this region). After AMAC SP in 2003 took over the club, sailing, which was forgotten for many decades, was revived and came back to Ohrid from a big door. Immediately after taking over the club a regatta was organized for the anniversary of 100 years of Macedonian state. Since that for the period of Ilinden holidays the sailing club with the organization of the regatta enriched the touristic offer .Over the last years Ilinden regatta is covered by all the electronic and printed media in the country. Besides that information and photographs of the regatta were broadcasted by the reputable Roiters and Associated Press. The sportsmen of the club during the whole year are active by taking part in regattas in the region. Within the frames of the club works the sailing school which is open to all interested from 7 to 77 years old.





       AMAC Press is the only printed medium in Ohrid – Struga region. This newspaper is printed with a circulation of 4000 copies. The founder and publisher of AMAC Press Ohrid’s Novelties is the General Director of AMAC Sp Venko Sapkar. The first editor of the newspaper was Nikola Maneski the pioneer of Ohrid’s journalism. AMAC Press Ohrid’s Novelties in the course of its work has never been refuted. The newspaper’s reduction daily receives letters and reactions from readers. However, the reduction never received a refute for a published information. On the newspaper’s pages are found many citizens from Ohrid who contributed for the affirmation of Ohrid in Macedonia and the world. Besides that , many young people future musicians , artists , sportsmen and many other talented young people from various domains has found affirmation for whom media affirmation was needed for further development of their careers.
